Developmental editing is the first stage of the editing process. It looks at the story in an in-depth review, analysing the plot, characters, worldbuilding, pacing, and much more to make sure your story is unforgettable!

-Copyediting-

Copyediting (also known as line editing) is the second stage of the editing process. It analyses the text at sentence level to ensure the reader gets the best story experience. It will assess consistency, flow, syntax, grammar – both erroneous and stylistic – to make your work shine!

You'll receive in-line changes and comments alongside a style guide

-Proofreading-

Proofreading is the final stage of the editing process. It checks for any last-minute spelling, grammar, and formatting errors that may have slipped in/been overlooked.

We'll double check spelling, grammar, and overall look, to ensure your book is perfect and ready for publication.

-Manuscript Assessment-

If you're not quite ready to take the plunge into editing, a manuscript assessment could be right for you!

We'll do a thorough read-through of your work and provide a detailed report on areas of development and suggest ways to improve.

-Opening chapter analysis-

Your opening chapter is the entry-point to your story, the gateway to your world. It's what will entice readers, agents, & publishers.

We will provide a readthrough and comprehensive edit of your first chapter, to really help make it shine!

-Alpha Read-

Where beta readers read a story after it's been revised, alpha readers (usually editors) read a story in its earliest first draft.

Alpha reading aims to provide direction on a story that needs some guiding on its way to being great!
